Chapter 7: File Manager

The File Manager Option within your Control Panel can prove to be a very powerful feature. It will handle many of the functions that an FTP or Telnet client will handle all within your browser. Functions such as setting permissions, uploading files from your hard drive, creating and editing html files, or creating subdirectories. Its other function is to allow you to view all of the files within your directories and subdirectories by sorting them in different orders. Below we have provided you with screenshots of the different areas of your File Manager, our comments are in red.

The following screenshot will be present at the bottom of each of your directories, this part of your screen allows you to do these functions for that particular directory.

The following screenshot is of your www directory. This is the directory where you MUST upload your html files and images to in order to be viewed on the www.
